Welcome to the BIG 5 Trombone Society ...

The BIG 5 Trombone Society - Super Intensive was created for 7th & 8th grade students who have shown an enthusiasm and love for the advancement of their trombone studies. Each student should have an enthusiastic spirit and an eagerness to learn and apply information presented to him or her. This program is designed to present all aspects of developing their craft in an attractive manner. The BIG 5 Trombone Society - Super Intensive students will be taken through a series of workshops, master classes, and professional student ensemble preparations.

This program that begins on Saturday, November 5th @ 9 am to 1 p.m., and will continue on the same date, and time for another 23 weeks is designed to present all necessary skills and techniques of superior trombone playing. The Society is planning to take the top 7th & 8th Grade Trombones, and mold them into better musicians. The students will be taken through a series of workshops, public performances and master classes for professional student ensemble auditions, with strong emphasis on basic fundamentals (Major, Minor and Chromatic Scale Study, Tone Studies, and Articulation Studies), vocal training (sight singing, breath support, resonation), physical development (frequency, intensity), professional development and professional student ensemble auditions.

With the skills, and techniques passed on from Mr. Saunders Sermons II, and many of the worlds finest fellow Guest Trombone Clinicians that will be joining us this year in the BIG 5, sky is most definitely the limit. We at The BIG 5 Trombone Society - Super Intensive challenge you to do one thing, and one thing only.
